Estimator / Project Manager

We are looking to fill an immediate position as an Estimator/Project Manager to support our Ottawa Construction office.

Reporting to the Senior Estimator, the Estimator/PM will be responsible for a variety of tasks and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to:

  • Generating and maintaining project bid lists
  • Issuing bid/tender invitations
  • Uploading bid documents, receiving and organizing quotes
  • Following up with subcontractors and suppliers as required
  • Attending meetings and performing site visits as required
  • Review and analysis of reports, purchase orders, and subcontracts
  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects
  • Resourcing, scheduling, documentation & project budgeting
  • Monitor costs, review and approve project invoices, prepare progress billings
  • Other duties as required

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Construction Engineering Technologist Diploma and/or Civil Engineering Degree, and/or ICI Construction experience an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service/client relation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat (MS Project an asset).
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Must be flexible and a team player
  • Blueprint reading and strong attention to Construction details
  • Relevant Safety Certification
