In 1995, Shawn began his career in the industry with Thomas Fuller Construction Co. Ltd. (Ottawa). Over his employment with the firm, Shawn progressed from Labourer, to Field Engineer, Assistant Superintendent, Project Coordinator, and finally, to Project Manager providing him with extensive knowledge of the construction industry from the ground up.

Shawn joined Argue Construction Ltd. (formerly Baird Construction Management Ltd.) in 2006 where he maintains his position as the firm's President. Shawn is very involved in the construction community as he participates on the President's Advisory Council (PAC) for Robertson Building Systems, in addition, he maintains a position on the General Contractors Association of Ottawa.
